Portrait!!!

Picture
For this project we had to draw a picture using the technique of the practice grid. Then we had to choose a hue of one color with different tones. After this we had to pick a color that would make the face pop out, and paint the background. This project was made to practice and using pop art. The material used was paint.
I believe my canvas turned out the other way around. All the instructions that were given by my teacher were bent and with her consent I ended up making a tiger lily, which is a flower and then drew a silhouette on top of it. Normally I would have had no problem following instructions, but I know I got carried away. I followed my ideas towards making this on the canvas because the previous drawing was very frustrating to get right.

 Finish the picture!!!

Picture
For the finish the picture project we had to cut out a picture we liked from a magazine, and add the rest of it with what ever came out of our imagination. the  colors had to match and the picture had to be completed. The materials used for this project were color pencils.
I chose a model holding her hair out and added more and more hair falling in every direction. I also changed the design of the dress, which was for my opinion too plain. Also I added some shadows to her arm and tried to match the hue of colors from the real hair to the one that I drew.

Sketches!!!             .

Almost Each week we had an assignment due. it was mostly sketches and notes taken in class. The sketches or journals were left to our choice and imagination. This assignment was sent to improve the creativity techniques each week and to practice new drawing ways. Any material was allowed.
My sketches were based on the idea of half faces. I have never been able to draw a complete face and the practice that this brings to me was great to improve my drawing. as you can see in the upper left corner the faces where all black and white only drawn with pencil. But in the other ones they start getting some color incorporated, I was no longer afraid to damage the drawing by coloring them.
